The Immersive Open Pedagogies (IOP) Program conducted a two-day workshop on July 22-23, 2024, focused on grant writing for immersive learning and technology projects. The workshop was led by the IOP director, Dr. Roberto Figueroa Jr.

The workshop commenced with a brainstorming session, where participants discussed potential projects related to immersive learning and technology that could become future initiatives of the IOP program. The session fostered a collaborative environment, encouraging participants to share innovative ideas and explore various possibilities for implementing immersive technologies in educational settings.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in hands-on activities, writing and refining their grant proposals with the support and feedback of Dr. Figueroa and their peers. By the end of the two-day session, attendees had developed draft proposals that they could further polish and submit to potential funding sources.

The workshop was a significant step forward for the IOP program, equipping educators and researchers with the skills and knowledge needed to secure funding for innovative projects to enhance immersive learning experiences.

This initiative is expected to lead to the implementation of immersive learning projects, contributing to the advancement of educational practices and the integration of technology in the classroom. The IOP program remains committed to fostering innovation and supporting educators in their pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning.
