The Immersive Open Pedagogies (IOP) initiative, in partnership with the Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning (CODTL) and the Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM), conducted a workshop titled “Immersive Applications of H5P” on November 28, 2024, at the UP Open University Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna.

The workshop aimed to equip educators and content developers with skills to create interactive and immersive learning materials using tools such as H5P, Canva, and FastLearn.

Participants explored a wide range of topics, including the use of H5P templates to create interactive content, video lecture development with Canva, and designing e-books through FastLearn. Sessions focused on practical applications, such as developing and curating short videos for interactive e-books, followed by hands-on workshops to integrate these tools effectively into teaching and learning strategies.

The event culminated in the presentation of participants’ outputs, highlighting innovative projects that demonstrated the potential of these tools to revolutionize digital learning. These outputs highlighted the creative potential of tools like H5P and FastLearn in transforming digital learning. The presentations underscored how such technologies can enhance interactive and immersive educational experiences.

This workshop emphasized the transformative power of interactive tools in enhancing the teaching-learning experience. By leveraging platforms like H5P and FastLearn, educators are better positioned to meet the demands of modern, technology-driven education, making learning more dynamic, accessible, and engaging.

The IOP, CODTL, and INREM continue to champion initiatives that promote the integration of digital technology into education, empowering educators to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of learners worldwide.
